As a visual artist and communication designer working across illustration, photography, moving image, graphic design and installation. My practice begins with observing a situation and responding to what it calls for: understanding what is at hand, recognising relationships between different elements, and finding an appropriate form or language.
I see design not only as a way of creating visual languages, but as a way of thinking and responding. The medium is not predetermined; it emerges from the question, material, or context of each project. Observation, collecting, and transforming what I encounter are central to my process, allowing different forms and approaches to emerge from each situation.
My practice moves between independent artistic work and communication design, publishing, editorial, and cultural projects. Across these different contexts, I am interested in image, perception, space, and narrative, and in how visual forms can communicate, shift meaning, and create new relationships between what we see and how we understand it.
My professional background is rooted in communication design, illustration, publishing, and editorial practice. Over the years, I have worked across visual identities, publications, editorial illustration, book design, and cultural projects, both independently and in collaboration with others. From 2019 to 2026, I founded and ran Lusidhane, an independent communication design studio in Istanbul, bringing together design, illustration, and visual communication within a collaborative practice.
